Description
Annual or short lived tap-rooted perennial.

How to identify: The stem is erect and unbranched, the leaves are linear lanceolate. Flower heads are bright yellow with 8 to 10 flower bracts twice as long as the rays, sometimes with a pale reddish margin. The flowers only open prior to 1pm. The fruit is a large off-white clock.
How to propagate: Propagate by seed.
