Common meadow-rue is a tall, distinctive, and attractive perennial with a far-reaching rhizomatous stock.
How to identify: It has compound, pinnate leaves with wedge-shaped leaflets. The dense masses of small, pale yellow flowers can be seen, on closer inspection, to be made up of tufts of yellow stamens backed by two green bracts.
How to propagate: Propagation of meadow rue is via spring division of plants or through seed dispersal. Seeds can be planted either in spring or autumn.
