Description
A robust perennial grass which grows in clumps and is characterised by long cylindrical flower heads.

How to identify: Leaves are smooth, hairless and pale green. Flowers are located at the end of stem, densely packed into a cylinder formed of tiny horned spikelets. The stamens are pink.
